My Approach
Concrete, personal, and evidence-based

My approach is the result of years of experience, study, reflection, and refinement.
It’s not a standard formula — but a tailored journey built on insight, structure, and continuous growth.

I use unique tools that don’t just help you train — they help you learn how to learn.
Here’s how I make that happen.

Coaching as a journey — not a one-off session

Every player is different. What works for you depends on your goals, your learning style, and your mindset.
That’s why I don’t work with fixed schedules — but with a personalised growth journey.

  • We start from your current situation and your goals.

  • We build step by step — technically, strategically, and mentally.

  • We work with regular feedback, follow-up, and reflection.

Coaching doesn’t end at the table. It’s a process that continues — through tools, exercises, and mindset work.

Tools that help you grow

Over the years, I’ve developed my own tools to make coaching more effective and meaningful.
They’re flexible and can be used in different ways — always tailored to what you need.

📘 Textbook
“How to Play Snooker!”

A clear, in-depth guide covering:

  • Technique and visuals

  • Cue ball physics & cue ball control

  • Strategy and self-reflection

  • Match preparation and the mental game

  • …and more

You don’t have to memorise everything. The textbook serves as a practical reference between sessions.

 📓 Practice Book
“Best Practice”

More than just diagrams — a structured training guide with:

  • Technical and mental objectives

  • Clear instructions on how to approach each exercise

  • Correction tools, variations, and reflection questions

  • Exercises on focus, stress management, breathing, and visualisation

This way, you don’t just learn to perform — you learn to understand, adapt, and improve.

🧾 Tracking Tool

A shared digital document where:

  • Your progress becomes visible

  • Focus points, themes, and feedback are recorded

  • You and I keep a clear overview of your journey

This way, you always know where you stand — and where you’re heading.

🛤️ The Personal Snooker Plan

An active working document that helps you position yourself as a player:

  • How do you view winning, losing, failure, and success?

  • What are your triggers, pitfalls, and strengths?

  • What do you want to achieve — and what are you willing to do for it?

  • How do you stay mentally stable and focused?

The Snooker Plan is both a mirror and a compass — and it grows with you.

🔬 The Balls (by Chris Henry)

I also work with The Balls — the diagnostic tool developed by my mentor Chris Henry, with whom I earned my certification.

This is one of the best tools in the world for:

  • Visually and physically correcting your alignment

  • Objectively analysing your pre-shot routine

  • Providing feedback on your cue action — without guesswork

With The Balls, we work purposefully towards effective and efficient habits — both in mechanics and in visuals.
They reveal blind spots and accelerate your learning process in ways the naked eye often can’t.

This is no gimmick — it’s a scientifically backed tool that I use with precision and at the right moment in your coaching journey.

🧬 Neuro & Mindset Integration

My coaching is grounded in insights from:

  • Neuroscience

  • Behavioural psychology

  • Motor learning

  • Performance coaching

We don’t just work on what you do — but also on how you learn, how you think, and how you build lasting habits.
Everything is aimed at strengthening you as a player — on every level.
